Terms and purchases
Last updated: 4 July 2026. Plain-English terms for using Watch Walks and buying trails. Using the app or site means you agree to these.
What Watch Walks is
Watch Walks turns your everyday steps into a virtual journey along real-world trails, on your watch and phone. The Inca Trail is free. Other trails are optional one-time purchases. It is for enjoyment and motivation, not a navigation or safety device. Don't rely on it for real-world routefinding.
Buying trails
- One-time, not a subscription. Each paid trail is bought once. There's no recurring charge.
- Bought through your app store. Purchases go through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or Garmin Connect IQ, depending on your device. That store handles the payment and your receipt.
- Yours to keep. A trail you buy stays available to you on your devices signed in to the same store account. Purchases don't transfer between different stores (a trail bought on Google Play isn't the same purchase as one on the Apple App Store).
- Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout and set by us in each store; taxes may apply.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's policy:
- Google Play. Request it through Google Play's refund process (Google typically allows self-service refunds within a short window after purchase).
- Apple App Store. Request it at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Garmin Connect IQ. Contact Garmin support for Connect IQ purchases.
Because the Inca Trail is free, you can try the full experience before paying for anything, and we'd recommend walking it first. If something isn't right with a purchase, email us and we'll help.
Availability and changes
We may add, update, or occasionally retire trails or features. If a trail you own is ever removed, we'll aim to keep it working for you or make it right. The app is provided "as is"; we can't guarantee it's uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid.
Your data
No accounts required, no tracking, nothing sold. The whole of it is in our Privacy Policy.
