On Garmin, iPhone and Android today. The Wear OS watch app is close.
Watch Walks is out on the Garmin Connect IQ store, the App Store and Google Play right now, with the Inca Trail free. The one thing still to come is the watch app for Wear OS, which is with Google for review. Rather than send you to a page that does not exist yet, here is exactly where each one stands.
- Garmin
- Out now. Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, Vivoactive, Epix, Instinct and other Connect IQ watches. The trail runs on the watch itself, and the Inca Trail is free. Get it on Connect IQ
- iPhone and Apple Watch
- Out now. iPhone (iOS 16+) with Apple Watch Series 4 or later (watchOS 10+). Steps come from Apple Health, and the Inca Trail is free. Get it on the App Store
- Android phone
- Out now. Any Android phone. Your steps come from the phone itself, or from Health Connect if you already count them elsewhere, and the Inca Trail is free. Get it on Google Play
- Wear OS watch app
- In review. The watch app for Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch, TicWatch and other Wear OS 3+ watches went to Google on 26 July and is being reviewed for public release. The moment it clears, you will find it in the Play Store on the watch itself, and the link lands here and on the Wear OS page. Until then the free phone app walks your trail on its own.
Pick the trail you will walk first.
Forty-one real routes, from the 43 km walk to Machu Picchu to the 4,265 km of the Pacific Crest. Every one carries its measured elevation profile, its landmarks and its own medal, and you can read the whole catalogue before you install a thing.
