Straight to your wrist. No phone needed.
Watch Walks runs on the watch itself, turning your everyday steps into 43 km of Inca stone, from the permit gate on the Urubamba river to the Sun Gate. For Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch, TicWatch, OnePlus Watch and other Wear OS 3+ watches.
Set up your Wear OS watch in three steps
Install on your watch
Open the Play Store on your watch, search for Watch Walks, and tap Install. It downloads straight to your wrist. Start with the free Inca Trail. The watch app is with Google for review right now, so if the search comes up empty, that is us and not you.
In review: where it standsOpen it and allow steps
Open Watch Walks once and allow the Physical activity permission so it can count your steps. That's it. It's standalone, with no phone pairing and no account. Just start walking.

The free phone app turns your steps into a living map, opens a story at every landmark, and gives you a medal for each trail you finish. Install it from Google Play on your phone. It is out now, and it walks on its own if your watch app has not arrived yet.

Stuck? It's almost always the step permission.
- I can't find it on my watch. Make sure the watch is on Wi-Fi or has its phone nearby, then open the Play Store on the watch and search Watch Walks.
- My steps aren't moving the trail. Open the app, then in system Settings → Apps → Watch Walks → Permissions, allow Physical activity.
- "Not compatible" on my phone. Install the watch app from the watch's Play Store, and the phone companion from the phone's Play Store.
- Still stuck? Email watchwalksupport@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
